This was much better than expected. I've heard so many remixes of Tetris that a remix of it isn't worth mentioning more often than not. This, however, is.
Something original, for once. Well, for a remix at least. Five'd.

I honestly didn't think you could make a good orchestral track from the Sonic 2 boss music. Especially one that could work for other situations/bosses.
But you've done it. Congratulations.

I love the drumbeat; makes it sound very... resistance-esq?
Whatever. Good music.

To think that this was made in five days. And it sounds GOOD. Though it isn't perfect, the short amount of time makes it truly impressive.
Also, you managed to make it sound right without resorting to an electric guitar. Considering all the metal remixes out there, this is some well-needed variety.

I'm at a loss for words. I just have to ask: what inspired you to make this? Whatever it was, it must have been awesome.
Author's Response:
The inspiartion came from wanting to learn about breakbeat... that and the shambhala music festival.

As the guy below me (Naepa) said, this seems a little slow. It seems like it's missing something, too, and doesn't loop well (unless you make this a full-length track, and even then you probably should drop the silence at the end - I don't remember that being in the original theme).
Still, not bad. You've got the tune right, now you just have to refine it a bit (and a bad/problematic computer never helps). I sense that you might be quite good some day. Keep working on it.

I remember buying Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries at a computer show. Imagine my surprise when I find a manual for the ORIGINAL Mechwarror 2 in the box... weird, but a goldmine of useful info (those manuals where THICK back in the day; it's got mech variant stats, tactical reports on vehicles of all types, a whole tactics overview for mechs, a glossary of clan terms... everything but the kitchen sink).
Anyway, good show with this. I should re-install Mechwarrior 3 sometime... though getting it to work on Windows XP (or Linux, for that matter) is going to be easier said than done.

Awesome. However, I personally think it wouldn't fit an RPG very well - I'm imagining this set to something like the final (campaign) battle in Freelancer: a fight against overwhelming odds for the fate of the universe as the player/hero dodges around in their fighter, trying to get a good shot at the enemy's defenses and fighting off an entire fleet along the way, their friends pulling them out of the fire time and again...
Sorry for the overly-long description, I don't usually do that. Freelancer was one of those games; the awesome kind. And awesome games go well with awesome songs.

Ineradicable work. Can't think of any other way to complement it.
